How to choose the right entertainment for a corporate event
A great show isn't the most expensive or the most viral one. It's the one that fits your audience, your venue and what you want people to remember the next morning.

1. Start with the goal, not the artist
Before browsing catalogues, answer one question: what do you want to happen? Opening a convention with energy, moving a gala dinner audience, launching a product and rewarding a team are different briefs. The goal decides the format.
- Impact and openings: tech and light acts such as Electra Laser or Visual Mapping Dance.
- Emotion and message: narrative art such as Sand Drawing or Shadow Show, which tell your story.
- Welcome and networking: formats that mingle with guests, such as Living Statues, Coffee Artist or Champagne Fairy.
- Party and closing: live music and tribute bands such as The Beatles Tribute.
2. Know your audience
Age, language, company culture and headcount all change the choice. International audiences appreciate visual shows with no words. A small leadership team will enjoy an intimate format more than a huge set-up.

3. The venue decides
Clear height, rigging points, floor surface, daylight and venue rules determine what's possible. An aerial act needs certified rigging; a fire show needs safety distances and permits; a projection show needs darkness. Read our Technical checklist: what a show needs at your event before falling in love with a format.
4. Pick the right moment
The same act works differently depending on when it appears. At the welcome, ambient formats that don't interrupt conversation. Between courses, short high-impact acts (5 to 10 minutes). At the close, something that lifts the energy and kicks off the party.

5. Customise it
A show becomes unforgettable when it includes your brand: your logo drawn by drones, your story told in sand, your colours in the costumes. Customisation is what turns entertainment into communication.
6. Set a realistic budget
On top of artist fees, factor in technical needs, travel, permits and coordination. We break it down in How much does event entertainment cost? What drives the price.

Frequently asked questions
How long should a show at a corporate dinner last?
Between 5 and 15 minutes per slot works well; several short sets can be spread throughout the evening.
Is one big show better than several small ones?
It depends on the goal: one big show creates a memorable moment; several smaller formats keep the energy up throughout the event.
