Technical checklist: what a show needs at your event
Most problems with a show don't come from the artist but from the venue. Run through this list before you sign anything.

Space
- Usable dimensions of the stage or performance area, and floor type.
- Actual clear height (allowing for chandeliers, beams or screens).
- Access for equipment, goods lifts and load-in/load-out times.
- A dressing room or preparation area for the performers.
Aerial acts
- Certified rigging points or room for a free-standing structure.
- Load limits and the venue's technical documentation.
- Time for set-up and rehearsal before doors open.

Fire, pyrotechnics and water
- Approval from the venue and, where required, the local council or fire service.
- Safety distances and fire extinguishers.
- For water: waterproofing, drainage and protection of electrical equipment.
Light, sound and power
- Available power outlets and capacity.
- Ability to black out the room for light, laser or projection shows.
- Sound and lighting equipment from the venue or the event production.

Safety and paperwork
- The company's public liability insurance.
- The venue's safety plan and coordination with its staff.
- Format-specific permits (drones, fire, public space).
We send a technical rider with every show. If you're unsure about your venue, tell us via the contact form and we'll review it.
